About Me
“I always had a passion for storytelling”
As a child growing up in Finsbury Park, North London, I always had a passion for storytelling and the written word. After spending many years working as a local school governor, I decided to pursue my dream of becoming an author.
In 2012, I published my first book, The Alphabet Friends and their Animals, which received rave reviews and kickstarted a successful series. But it was my love for my own little West Highland Terrier, Charlie, that inspired my next venture: the Charlie Dog series.
In 2014, I published my first book in the Charlie Dog series, which followed the adventures of my beloved pet. The series continued to grow, with “Where are you hiding Charlie Dog?” being a finalist in the Peoples Book prize and “Charlie Dog’s Birthday” being released in 2018.
With delightful illustrations by Eleni Demetriou, I hope to capture the hearts of young readers with the charming and endearing tales of Charlie Dog. As I continue to write and expand the series, I am excited for the adventures that lie ahead for both myself and my lovable canine companion.
